Achievements of PDMA Balochistan

Provincial Disaster Management Plan and Disaster Management Plans for 11 Districts in year 2008

PDMA constructed 500 shelters for Flood affectees of 2010 with the support of UNHCR at Jaffarabad.

Satellite Early Warning System for Tsunami (in Gawadar) established with the support of UNDP.

Safe Path for evacuation established in Gawadar with Support of UNDP.

Construction of 320 Houses for flood 2010 affectees  with support of Turkish Govt  at Jaffarabad.

Micro- Zonation Study of Quetta District (Regarding Earthquake Threat) in 2015.

Successful Completion Of Balochistan Disaster Management Project (Funded by World Bank)

Establishment of Gender and Child Protection Cell.

Establishment of Provincial Emergency  Operation Center (PEOC).

Construction of Humanitarian Resource Facility  (having 5000 MT capacity) with the support of WFP.

Successful Completion of  Balochistan School Safety Programme (Project) with the support of UNWFP and Focus.

On the direction of Hon’ble Chief Minister Balochistan, the PDMA has procured medical items with the help of Health Department and distributed allover Balochistan.

PDMA has strengthen the rescue vehicles by purchasing Ambulance, water bowser etc.

PDMA has installed portable hand washing Machine in different areas of Quetta city during COVID-19

PDMA has procured heavy snow machinery to cope with uncertain situation arises due to snowfall.

PDMA has prepared winter contingency plan 2020-21.

Construction and establishment of 4 rescue centers with ambulance services in different areas of Quetta city i.e DC Office Quetta, Speni Road, Double Road near Barech Market and Saryab Phatick and one hub that is PDMA office.

Compensation of death cases of monsoon 2022.

Provision of food/NFIs to 80,000 HH in flood affected population.
