Balochistan Flood 2013

Backgroud: Monsoon rains started (in Koh E Suleman range) on 2nd August 2013 affecting Loralai and continued till today 6th August 2013 by affecting districts (JhalMagsi, Jaffarabad, Sibi, Loralai, Khuzdar and Lasbela). The immediate needs were Food, Shelter and Mosquito Net etc which was provided by Provincial disaster Management Authority Balochistan. Dewatering and clearing of sewerage system was started immediately. Road of District Jhal Magsi was also restored by the district administration for the distribution among the flood affectees. In addition to this, relief items were distributed among the affectees who were shifted temporarily to the banks of canals and along the roadside in different areas.
